Re: 50Hz vs 60Hz cycles - tonal impact?
If the Power transformer is well built then shouln't be any problem, but if its conservatively designed it can be a problem with buzz, heat and voltage drop. Transformers rated at 60Hz should not be used on a 50Hz supply due to higher losses and core saturation, and the resultant higher temperature r...

Dumble footswitch cable?
Why Dumble used 5 core for the footswitch cable?
I think you can have the same function with 3 core cable, we already have positive voltage on wires coming from the reley, so we can use that to power LED on footswitch.
Am I missing something?

Dumble 124 is this normal?
My good friend just bring his Dumble clone 124. It was always quiter than mine 124 with the same input level. Today I tried to measure AC signal levels on mine and his. In a preamp I don't see the difference in signal levels, but signal after the phase inverter is different. AC signal in front of th...

Bluesmaster capacitors?
Hi. Checking the pictures of an original Blusmaster and I see some differences between layout from here and real pictures. I can see there are capacitors on the Level pot of OD, trimmer on mid pot, bypass capacitor on the bass pot and white capacitor on presence pot labeled 47K. Any clue of the purp...
