Re: ODS #221 for sale
Interesting use of metal films in most places? I think they look like NTE? The great news about these gutshots leaking, for the Mayer fans at least, is that #221 is within 1-3 serial numbers of the famous "Where The Light Is" Dumble, which according the Bomba is either #222 or #224. How about a Ton...

Re: NOS John Mayer Sig / Wonderland 100W
I see different values for this resistor in the mixer circuit 108K,120K,220K.. what is the original value? Go with the values in Ryan’s updated layout (which I posted above, and re-posting here: https://ampgarage.com/forum/download/file.php?id=59901&mode=view ). His updated layout was created after...

Re: NOS John Mayer Sig / Wonderland 100W
I wonder if in the amp the schematic was drawn from the 10n might have been a 1n? Below is the gutshot of the actual amp that the Wonderland schematic/layout were drawn from. It is not one of the actual 25 limited edition amps, but rather a post-production version built for a customer in 2009. You ...

Re: NOS John Mayer Sig / Wonderland 100W
I think Two Rock added the cap to (i) address the reverb hum, which happens due to the classic tone PT and small headshell, and placement of the tank. (II) reduce the amount of reverb for a better dry/wet ratio given they use the 1M resistor on the dry path which really reduces gain (III) as mentio...

Re: NOS John Mayer Sig / Wonderland 100W
I just removed cap from RETURN pot and sound is now so much clearer What is the purpose of that cap anyway? It adds a little brightness to the reverb signal, and at higher reverb levels, adds some "splash." If you prefer it without it, then keep it without a cap. In fact, it's something that Two-Ro...

Re: NOS John Mayer Sig / Wonderland 100W
Just curious: what ODS type is the preamp? 102? It will never sound like a ODS though. Contour, reverb, half a dumbleator, etc. Lots of differences. From what I recall of the Custom Reverb Signature line, they are all high plate skylines. The Classic Reverb / Mayer line of amps are low plate classi...

Re: Dumbleland Special Schematic
So @jfs322: What kind of tone stack is in your DL #009 clone? All the best, Max I wish I knew, I would definitely share if I knew the specifics, but my amp is not a part-for-part, value-for-value clone of a Dumbleland, but rather an "inspired-by" amp that used the PI/Driver configuration of a Dumbl...

Re: NOS John Mayer Sig / Wonderland 100W
Nope, it is a different "JM" -- Joe Mloganoski, co-founder of Two-Rock. The top signature is Bill Krinard's (the other co-founder of Two-Rock).

Re: Dumbleland Special Schematic
IMO one should take into account the possibility, that at the time when #009 lost its original knobs, its original circuit perhaps was altered, too. If so, the historically correct circuit of #009 may differ from the circuit that the people of Two Rock met on their bench. E. G.: As is visible on so...

Re: NOS John Mayer Sig / Wonderland 100W
I think this is a CRS mk1, the one with the Fender type reverb. Biggest hint: paralleled triodes V3 as reverb driver. It is a version 2. The blue anodized chassis was not a feature on the version 1; it was introduced on (and was special to) Version 2. You can also tell by the date: 2007 was after v...
